This does need to be sized up, but not 2-3 sizes like other reviews say. I say this because after wearing it once, the knit stretched out a lot, especially the bottom hem. So it ended up being a size bigger than I thought. After wearing it, I think this is really designed to be worn over a dress, or maybe a high waisted wide leg pant. It’s slightly cropped and slightly tapered, just how you would want it to be to accentuate the waist of a dress. The painted-on design is really gorgeous, a little darker than in the photos and fun and unique. The fabric is very light and summery, not thick like the Bianca crew sold in the fall.

Seriously, size up two full sizes if you want the oversized fit pictured on the models. I normally wear between S and M in Toad&Co sweaters. For example, I currently wear a S in the Bianca Shaker Crew Sweater from this past fall. I ordered a M in this and it was way too small. I exchanged for the XL and it fits as pictured. XL!! I do think the shoulders and upper portion would have fit me in the L because of the wide, dropped shoulders. For me it was the tapered waist that necessitated the XL because my waist is not very defined. Nonetheless, in the XL size, I am happy with my purchase and will be keeping it. The fabric, the painted-on design, and the colors are all very much to my liking. I love Toad&Co’s aesthetic in general. But I dislike inconsistent sizing on principle, and I feel for those who already wear a L or XL and can’t size up in this size line.
