Throwback Style and Timeless Advice

Dads, grandpas, stepdads, uncles, dog dads – if you're a dad-figure, today we celebrate you. And share the dad-isms and life advice that make our favorite guys so special.

Steve's Dad Kevin

His high school yearbook quote and best advice to this day: “Live life as an individual and not as a group.”

Sam's Dad Dave

Best advice: "Max out your 401K!"

Favorite dad joke: "Two muffins are sitting in the oven... The first muffin turns to the second muffin and says, 'oh gee, sure is hot in here.' The second muffin turns to the first and says, 'holy s***, a talking muffin.'"

Dad-ism: "Measure twice, cut once."

Fashion advice: "'I'm color blind. Do these things go together?' But really, wear comfortable clothing that protects you from the sun."

Christina's Dad Mark

Daily dose of good doing: "He picks up trash wherever he goes – even brings a trash bag with him when he hikes. It's those little things that make a difference!"

Most iconic dad-ism: "He's got a nickname for everyone. At the very least, you're getting '-inator,' '-orama,' or '-ster' added to the end of your name when he references you."

Fashion advice: "'Just like it's always a good time for a margarita, it's always a good time for a pair of shorts.' Truly, it doesn't matter the temp – you'll almost always find him wearing shorts. Big fan of the Boundless Pull-On."

Sarah and Kelly's Dad Nick

Best advice: "Persistence and hard work always pays off."

Most iconic dad-ism: "Catching flies on the beach (aka nap time)."

Fashion advice: "Nothing wrong with sticking what you know (he's a man of consistency)."
